Navigate to Tomorrow
Uber and AMI have launched a free learning programme to help Uber partners across Africa navigate and survive these challenging times. Uber driver partners will develop the skills needed to survive as independent entrepreneurs and make the most of earning opportunities in the COVID-19 world. Currently the programmes are available in South Africa and Kenya.
Through this partnership AMI is offering a personal development and entrepreneurship programme:
Skills to Survive
The 4-months the Skills to Survive programme focuses on supporting Uber driver partners to help them address barriers to success as a modern independent entrepreneur on the go. Some of the skills you can explore include planning for different possible business risks, managing cash, problem solving, setting and achieving goals, time management and good communication. You will have 4 months of access to learning through the African Management Institute’s online platform with helpful videos and tools and help you navigate these tough times.
I’ve learnt to manage my finances, communicate with customers and prioritise responsibilities. Thanks to what I learned, I’ve reduced my expenses and have been able to save more.
